mathcamp 2007

This year was my fourth year helping Ithaca College math professor Dani Novak put on a week-long camp for kids. This year we had a lot of helpers: on Monday TC3 math teacher Chris Talman showed the kids how to draw a logarithmic spiral within a golden rectangle; on Tuesday IC student Brian Sevey showed them several cryptographic techniques; and on Thursday IC student Kayleigh Rose showed the kids her work studying pursuit curves—the path that predators take when pursuing their prey. And by demonstrating his helpfulness and computer skills Jasper has graduated from camper status to assistant status. For more details see the Math Camp website.
